1.

What is Wallop! OnDemand?

We are a provider of on-demand PR measurement and monitoring software and services. Our focus is on making PR measurement accessible to agencies and businesses of all sizes by offering flexible measurement options that are affordable enough to fit any budget.

2.

Do you offer media monitoring?

Yes, we offer media monitoring. Whether you are looking for basic automated digital monitoring or you want personalized monitoring by a team of analysts, Wallop! does both. The level of monitoring you get depends on which Wallop! solution you choose, so it is easy to select just what you need. Of course, if you prefer to handle your own coverage tracking, we offer strictly measurement (without monitoring) as well.

3.

What type of data does your monitoring service capture?

Wallop! monitoring is able to capture coverage from a variety of media sources. The largest portion of the coverage we track comes from online sources like news syndication services, news wires, print and broadcast news providers that make their content available online, video sharing sites, blogs, message boards, social media sites, and other digital media. We also monitor traditional print and broadcast media. Because we offer several different customizable Wallop! monitoring and measurement solutions, you can actually design your own monitoring program around what works best for your particular coverage.

4.

What's the difference between what Wallop! OnDemand offers and what other monitoring solutions offer?

A major benefit of using Wallop! over other monitoring solutions is that we don't stop at monitoring. Wallop! is a total solution that combines monitoring with PR measurement. With other monitoring solutions you capture the coverage and then wonder "now what?" Wallop! helps you evaluate and learn from the information you collect. The insights you gain by using Wallop! will help you do better PR and achieve more, and that is something you don't get with other monitoring solutions.

5.

Who does the coverage tracking and how does my coverage get entered into the Wallop! OnDemand system?

That is up to you. If, like most Wallop! users, you choose a Wallop! package that includes monitoring, your coverage will be captured and entered into the system for you. This is done either automatically or by Wallop! analysts. Many teams choose Wallop! for monitoring because they don't have the bandwidth to handle coverage tracking and data entry themselves, or because it simply costs less to use Wallop! than if they were to do it on their own. Of course, if you prefer to handle your own coverage tracking you are able to do so with the Wallop! Basic solution. This DIY option allows you to capture and enter your own data into the Wallop! system and it does not include monitoring features.

6.

How long does it take to manually enter a piece of coverage into Wallop! OnDemand?

Manually entering coverage into Wallop! can be done in minutes. The process takes no longer than entering coverage into a word document or other file. BUT - pay attention because this part is important - by taking two minutes to enter coverage into Wallop! you'll save yourself hours of work later. That's really why we built Wallop!, we were tired of spending hours going back through coverage, sorting and trying to analyze data, and having to pull together/format reports every time a client asked a new question about PR results. We decided instead of spending all that time searching and formatting, we'd rather focus on campaign work. With Wallop! the short amount of time you spend entering coverage actually becomes an investment. Once your coverage is entered into the Wallop! OnDemand system, accessing and analyzing it is quick and easy.

Of course, if you select a Wallop! solution that includes monitoring, coverage is automatically captured and entered into the Wallop! OnDemand system for you. This gives you the option to spend zero time on coverage entry, and focus instead on tagging and analyzing coverage.

7.

How many people/users can access the Wallop! System?

Each Wallop! license has an unlimited number of user logins available. This makes it easy for any number of different individuals to work with data related to a license. We understand that coverage data may need to be touched by a series of people from entry level to more senior individuals. Also, large companies may have more than one PR agency, meaning that people from multiple agencies would need access to data. Wallop! makes that possible and we don't charge you an arm and a leg for giving multiple users access. Many of our competitors charge per user, which can be complicated and expensive.

8.

How many clients can we have on one license?

You can have one client per license. A client is considered to be a company (or if you need more segmentation it could be a division of a company) and up to fifteen of its competitors.

9.

If I have 10 clients, do I need to have 10 licenses?

Yes, you need to have a license for every client. You can't use designated "competitor" spaces on a license to measure additional companies that are not true competitors of your main client. That's not how licenses work and this is something we monitor closely. Sometimes you will want to have more than one license for a company in order to segment measurement for that company. An example of this is when your client is a large company with several divisions and you are interested in tracking competitors for each division. In this case you may want to consider a specific division as the client (rather than the entire company) and you would purchase a license for that division.

10.

How do I know how many licenses I need?

In most cases determining the number of licenses you need is fairly straightforward. But, there are some situations where you may want to have multiple licenses to cover a single company, and determining how many licenses to purchase may be more difficult. This generally happens if you have a large company with many different divisions, each one having its own competitors. In this case, we'll work with you to figure out how you want your coverage reported depending on company segmentation and competitors. Then we'll help you make a decision on the number of licenses to purchase based on what would be most economical.

11.

Can I print clip books?

Yes, there are a number of different options for printing clip books. You can choose to print clip books by time, trend, product, or you can slice and dice a clip if you don't want to print all the coverage. Wallop! is unique in that it let's you customize the information you're printing. Maybe you want to see all the coverage for a specific trend during a certain time frame, you can select to print that information. Or, if you want to know how many business press articles you had for a product you can print those articles and their clip book. Wallop!'s flexibilty helps you get the exact information you're looking for.

12.

Can my clients see their coverage in Wallop?

That's up to you. With Wallop! you can choose how much access you want your clients (internal or external) to have. Many agencies choose to keep their coverage behind the scenes and just share the reports. Others are more transparent. It is possible to allow your clients to have their own login where they will be able to view coverage and run reports. But, ultimately you decide which permissions you want to allow your clients.

13.

Do you have automated reports?

Yes, we have a series of automated reports as well as the functionality to export data and create your own custom reports. We know how valuable reports are as evaluation tools, so we've spent a lot of energy developing this part of Wallop! Currently there are numerous automated reports available and we're constantly adding more.

14.

Can I make my own reports using the Wallop! OnDemand data and charts?

15.

Do you provide report templates?

The first image shows what your client sees when they first log in. The second image is what they'll see once they click on an article.

Yes, there are actually a lot of advantages to doing this. First of all, if you're a corporate PR professional and you buy a Wallop! license, then your company retains the rights to that license and you keep the data even if you change agencies. This is huge when it comes to making a seamless transition from one PR agency to another. Another instance where it's useful as a PR professional to purchase a Wallop! license is when you have multiple agencies working for different areas of your business. In this scenario it is extremely helpful to get everyone on the same page and collect all your company's data in one place using a uniform process. Wallop! customers can easily access any coverage online that they’ve entered within the previous 30 months. So, searching for coverage that is two years old is as simple as looking up coverage that is two months old. Everything is right at your fingertips. This means it’s possible to request data that’s up to five years old, should you need to track down a specific piece of coverage.

Absolutely, that's one of the benefits of using Wallop! Since Wallop! isn't associated with a single agency, you have the freedom to make changes without worrying about losing the data you've worked hard to collect. Let's face it, if you're tied to an agency and you use their measurement system it's almost impossible to leave and retain your measurement data. Transferring your Wallop! license from one agency to another makes any agency move seamless. That's because you'll maintain the exact same system of measurement and you won't lose any data.

25.

I'm a corporate PR person, if I have multiple agencies, can they all enter coverage into the same system? Standardize coverage/reporting across agencies and geographies?

Yes, you'll find that for the corporate PR person Wallop! makes life much easier. Each of your agencies can enter your coverage into Wallop! So instead of having to interpret reports from different agencies that come in a variety of formats, you'll be able to view consistent results that will show you at a glance exactly what you want to see.

26.

Can we import existing coverage?

Currently we don't have an import coverage feature that will automatically load a large amount of existing coverage. We are working to add this technology. In the meantime you can either enter existing coverage manually as you would with new coverage, or for an additional cost a Wallop! analyst can enter your existing coverage into the Wallop! system.

27.

Others offer just monitoring, and some offer cut and dry measurement, but we combine monitoring with powerful PR measurement to deliver a solution that covers all your needs in one place.

29.

One of our main goals is to make measurement affordable, because we think it is important to doing good PR – really important. Too important for anyone to be able to say "we can't afford PR measurement." Instead of creating yet another expensive measurement solution, we developed Wallop! so we could offer flexible monitoring and measurement solutions that agencies and companies of all sizes can afford.

30.

Do you support international functionality?

Yes, Wallop! has international capabilities. Currently the interfaces are English based, so you need to be able to understand English in order to enter coverage and complete measurement tasks within the system. However, coverage can be in other languages. Complete multi-language functionality will be introduced in 2012. On the analytics side of things, you can segregate where coverage is from. There are four regions to choose from, or you can go deeper and track countries by trend and track specific countries.
